Planning your trip is easy! Just follow these simple steps…
1. Set your vacation dates
2. Decide what you want to see and do. This could be an adventurous trip, a basecamp, fishing, photography, etc.
3. Determine what gear and food needs you have. Do you want us to pack it all? If, so select one of our complete packages. If you have some of your own gear and only need a few items, select what you need from our Partial Outfitting list.

It is best to plan a Boundary Waters trip as early in the year as you can. Entry permits are reserved on a first come, first serve basis begining in January so again, early planning is ideal!
Things To Know
Group Size: The US Forest Service limits group sizes within the Boundary Waters. Nine (9) people and For (4) watercraft are the maximum allowed together in the wilderness. If you have more then 9 people you must split into multiple traveling groups. (example: if you have 12 people you must go in two groups, such as 6 people in group #1 and 6 in group #2)
Cell Phones & Cell Coverage: Cell phone reception is not available in most of the wilderness Do not rely on your cell phone to keep you in contact with anyone or as a safety device.
You Have Only What You Bring: The Boundary Waters is a true wilderness area. There are no roads, buildings or stores. Whatever you need to comlete the trip you must bring with you from the start. The key here is to be prepared. Make sure you have quality, fully functioning items, such as: rain gear, lighter, compass, first aid, fishing rod and tackle, tent, stove, canoe, etc. As an outfitter we will help you with this.
Leave No Trace: It is important to follow "Leave No Trace" wilderness ethics while in the Boundary Waters. Please leave campsites and portages cleaner then you found them. Remember, if you packed it in, pack it out.
